Free. All ages. Three channels, three genres, one beach.

Three channels. Zero noise.

Everyone gets a pair of wireless headphones and picks between three live channels — switch whenever you want, all night. Take them off and the beach is quiet. Put them back on and you're in it.

No PA. No noise rolling across the water into the neighborhood. Just a few hundred people dancing on the sand at golden hour, lit up like a field of fireflies.

Music that didn't exist on Friday.

Every OFF PEAK date is powered by a weekend artist residency. Musicians move into a house in Kings Beach on Friday, build a studio in the living room, and write together all weekend.

Saturday night, they play it for you live — songs nobody has ever heard, that will never have another first time.

Half the artists are from right here in Tahoe and Truckee.

Why May and September?

Because that's when Tahoe is ours again.

The lake in late May and mid-September is the best-kept secret in Northern California — warm water, warm evenings, no lines, no traffic. OFF PEAK exists to give people a reason to be here in the quiet months, and to put money in the pockets of the local businesses that are emptiest then.
